It was surprisingly difficult to find an artist for a project like this, but luckily I came across Nicole Hansen at Ultraviolet Stained Glass. The whole process was actually pretty easy. She gave me five options in the abstract style I was interested in, one of the options popped out immediately, and it only needed a minimal amount of refining. Once we had the design, Nicole came to the house with samples of glass and we placed them on the window so we could see how they interacted with each other and the space. After that, she crafted the glass artwork and another company encased the window and installed it. It's BEAUTIFUL! Every time I look at the window, it makes me smile. If/when we move out of the house, I'm definitely taking the stained glass window with me.
