Step-by-step custom stained glass pricing and ordering process

Consultation

Speak with me to discuss your wishes, timeline, and custom stained glass pricing for your project. For installed work I will visit the site to take careful measurements, note the light levels, and study the architecture of the space. From there we will talk through design ideas and get a feel for how complex the project will be. I will then write up an estimate within 48 hours for your review and approval.

Design and Construction

A deposit is required to start design work. I will be in touch with drawings, color schemes, glass textures, and finishes. Once the design is finalized I will order glass from my suppliers. From there the construction phase usually takes around a 4-8 weeks, depending on the scope of the project. Large projects with very complex paint work and/or square footage will of course take longer.

Delivery and Installation

Installation might be done by myself, or a hired glazier(s) depending on the situation. I often collaborate with other local glass professionals that might perform encapsulation, sash restoration, removal/installation or framing. Final payment will be due on delivery. Then we celebrate!
