We were doing a full home renovation and our designer/GC suggested replacing a glass block window in the shower with a stained glass window. It was surprisingly difficult to find an artist for a project like this, but luckily I came across Nicole Hansen at Ultraviolet Stained Glass. The whole process was actually pretty easy. She gave me five options in the abstract style I was interested in, one of the options popped out immediately, and it only needed a minimal amount of refining. Once we had the design, Nicole came to the house with samples of glass and we placed them on the window so we could see how they interacted with each other and the space. After that, she crafted the glass artwork and another company encased the window and installed it. It's BEAUTIFUL! Every time I look at the window, it makes me smile. If/when we move out of the house, I'm definitely taking the stained glass window with me.In sum, if you need a skilled stained glass artist to create a beautiful custom piece for you, contact Nicole. She is outstanding!

Nicole has done three windows in our home. They are beyond gorgeous. She designed all three purely based on inspiration of our love for a very specific style of early 20th century Dutch design, and she knocked it out of the park. She was a pleasure to work with, and delivered on the completed projects faster than I would ever have imagined it would take to create pieces of such detail. It was particularly fun to go over to her studio to hand pick all the different colors that would be used prior to construction. We miss her here in Bisbee, but wherever she goes, we hope she continues to share her special talent with the masses!

I love the work Nicole recently did replacing glass on the front of a cabinet I bought. She worked with my vision and designed a beautiful Art Nouveau panel with backlighting. Total work of art for my space!

There’s no one like Ultraviolet Stained Glass in Portland and I highly recommend their work.

We had a fantastic experience working with Nicole! She immediately understood our vision after a short phone call and executed it perfectly. We are so delighted with how our custom window turned out! She worked with us across international time zones to ensure the color and pattern variation was perfect. We are so grateful to have found Ultraviolet Stained Glass. Our window is truly a work of art.

Nicole made two beautiful windows for our addition in Salem. She was really great to work with-- very receptive to my ideas and she really cared about my project even though it was a relatively small one. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out and would definitely work with Nicole again ! Thanks Nicole !

Nicole is a fabulous stained glass artist. She had the difficult task to match the glass from an old Victorian window and the pattern to create two sidelights. Not only did they come out exact but the time frame she created them in was really fast. She was wonderful to work with and we highly recommend her.

Nicole created a magnificent stained glass art piece that sits proudly above the door to our award-winning Copper Queen Library in Bisbee, Arizona. The piece commemorates 140 years of library service in the oldest library in the state. We were thrilled with the quality of her work, and also with the fact that both creation and installation were completed in record time. As president of the Friends of the Library, I often tour people around the library, and it's a piece that I always point out with pride.
