About Ultraviolet Stained Glass Portland Oregon

   Ultraviolet Stained Glass makes custom stained glass windows and doors using a variety of traditional and modern techniques. We also offer framed panels for those who prefer movable or temporary installations. We believe that houses are holy and deserve lasting adornment to enhance their beauty, enjoyment, and value. Methods used are traditional lead came, Tiffany style (copper foil), vitreous painting, silver stain, and acid etching.  Located in beautiful Portland, Oregon and serving the entire Pacific Northwest.

Principal artist Nicole Hansen works closely with our clients on designs that celebrate homes and public spaces. She studied privately with Sophie D'Souza at her studio in London to learn traditional stained glass painting. She was the recipient of the James A Whitney scholarship in 2024, which she used to study with renowned Vermont stained glass artist, Debora Coombs. She hosts the a monthly meetup for Portland stained glass professionals. Nicole started out self taught, but has since gathered a community of mentors, peers and students around her to further the art and craft of stained glass in the 21st Century.
